Kallie,
Everyday since you started pre-school, when I took you to school I would hold your hand. I held your hand all through kindergarten and 1st grade but I always wondered when you would decide that you didn't want to hold my hand at school.
Today as I walked you to your classroom I tried to grab your hand and your arm pulled away a bit and you looked around to see if your friends saw. I asked if you didn't want to hold my hand and you just nodded, somewhat dodging the question.
This is a great day and a sad day because I know it just shows you are growing up and becoming your own person, but that also means you grow a little away from me.
Later on today, I showed up at your field trip and you ran up and gave me a big hug like usual, so I know that everything will be alright.
Maryn,
I am not sure when this will happen with you. It might be next week or in college, but I know when you decide there will be no hesitation and you will let me know the rules.
Love you girls.
